Dubai

Many hotels have state-of-the-art sporting facilities and well-organised kids' clubs, and many properties are on Jumeirah Beach with its calm, shallow waters. There are thrills galore at the Wild Wadi Water Park and the world's largest Snow Dome. We also have Virgin Holidays' reps in Dubai to offer reassurance and assistance should you need it.

Mauritius

The island's beach resorts have safe waters to teach the kids to snorkel, while kids' clubs and water sports keep the older ones occupied. Children love the Vanille Crocodile Park, home to dozens of animals as well as crocodiles. And there's the reassurance of local representatives to offer assistance to Virgin Holidays' customers on the island.

South Africa

For adventure, head for the game parks (many of which, such as Pilanesburg and Addo Elephant Park, are malaria-free). Teenagers will get a thrill trekking up Table Mountain, or spotting the 'Big Five' in Kruger National Park. Hiring a car is a great way for your family to explore, and there are local representatives in the resorts to look after Virgin Holidays' customers.

Malaysia

In Malaysia's National Parks, you can raft through swirling rapids or between emerald green islands. The kids can meet the orang-utans in Borneo and see chattering monkeys in the rainforests. Teenagers can enjoy fly-fishing for giant carp, mountain climbing or swimming in placid river waters.

Kenya

On the coast, the kids can swim with dolphins and build sandcastles on the white sand beaches. They'll get close to wildlife on safari in the Masai Mara, and they can visit real tribal villages. Facilities for children are less sophisticated here, but the friendly and welcoming staff more than make up for it.

Hong Kong

Visit the world's newest Disneyland, with guaranteed fun for kids, young and old, plus there's Ocean Park aquarium and theme park, Hong Kong Wetland Park, and the Ngong Ping Cultural Village next to the giant Buddha statue and Po Lin monastery.

Thailand

The country's safe beaches, at places such as Ko Samui and Cha Am, are great for relaxed family holidays. In the north, there's bamboo-rafting fun, and the brilliant Elephant Camp is a great educational experience for teenagers.

To make choosing your holiday a bit easier, we have included child prices for every hotel and resort that we feel is suitable for children between 2-11 years.

In addition, we offer EXCLUSIVE teen prices at certain hotels. These prices are valid for 12-16 year olds (up to 17 years at some hotels) and offer a significant discount on the adult price they would usually be expected to pay.

If you have teenagers travelling with you, the hotels below are highly recommended. Each has been chosen because of their great facilities for older children. They also offer spacious rooms at good value for money.
